Drew’s Origin Story

Drew Janine: Sound Mixer, Radio Frequency Engineer, Live Sound Engineer, Senior Audio for multiple festivals, singer-songwriter, and a recent foley artist, has garnered an international recognition for her work on large scale stage productions, tours, concert halls, and festivals. Drew has been honoured to work alongside some of the most notable names in the live entertainment industry. Some of her most recent works include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical as the A1, Moulin Rouge De Musical as the A2, Ballet Cymru as the A1, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival as the Senior Sound Technician.

Drew Janine is a motivated individual having grown up in the performing arts industry with a proven track record of dedication, determination, and adaptability as she seeks to continue expanding her audio work. With strong leadership skills and her proven track record of handling multiple venues and shows, she seeks to bring her talents of multitasking, professional organisational skills, and strong musical capabilities as well as knowledge of multiple DAWs and digital sound desks to more companies and shows.

Drew Janine grew up loving all genres of music, but held a special place for musical theatre. She has been a performer since she was 2 years old and has since traveled the world absorbing its musical diversity and learning 16 instruments. She was accepted into an audio engineering internship at a major recording studio in Charlotte, N.C., USA at the start of 2020. Since then, so much has happened in her career and the world. She has gone on to work at recording studios, festivals, and international tours. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to learning unique techniques and styles as much as she can from not only different people but different countries.

Drew Janine has worked on three international tours, two international festivals, three national tours, and multiple regional premieres throughout Europe and North America. 

What’s In The Future

Drew Janine continues to work towards her goal of becoming an A1 for large scale productions as well as one day becoming a foley artist. Her top 5 musicals that she dreams to work on, two of which she already has, are: Anastasia, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Moulin Rouge, Hamilton, and The Greatest Showman. Drew Janine also continues to write about her experiences of working behind the scenes and encouraging others to pursue work offstage at theatres.
